------------------- Welcome to Version 2.2 of Rig-EQF -----------------------
IF YOU ARE READING THIS AFTER TYPING "INSTALL", CONGRATULATIONS! A UTILITY
CALLED "VIEW-EQF" IS ALLOWING YOU TO VIEW THE "README.DOC" FILE EASILY. YOU
CAN SCROLL UP AND DOWN THROUGH THIS FILE BY USING YOUR KEYBOARD CURSOR KEYS
(UP & DOWN ARROWS, AND THE <Page Up> AND <Page Down> KEYS).
WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED READING THESE NOTES, JUST HIT THE <Esc> KEY TO LEAVE
AND THE "INSTALL" ROUTINE WILL BEGIN. AS AN ADDED BONUS, YOU CAN USE THE
"VIEW-EQF" UTILITY ANY TIME TO VIEW A TEXT FILE! JUST TYPE "VIEW-EQF" AND
ENTER THE NAME OF THE FILE YOU WANT TO VIEW. THIS GIVES YOU A REALLY EASY
WAY TO SCROLL THROUGH THE USER'S GUIDE, WHICH IS CALLED "RIG-EQF.DOC".
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS SOFTWARE...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To install the program on a hard disk, use the new INSTALL program that's
provided on this floppy. INSTALL will allow you to create a new directory on
your hard drive, if desired. With this disk mounted in one of your drives,
type the letter of the drive, followed by a colon and hit <enter>. For
example, if this disk is in drive A:, type A: and hit <Enter>. Then just
type INSTALL and follow the menu instructions. The INSTALL routine will
also ask if you want to print the User's Guides for the programs. If you
already typed "INSTALL" to read this file, then you will begin the install
by hitting the <Esc> key.
If you are upgrading from an earlier Version of Rig-EQF, please make sure you
have a backup disk with the "old" version before proceeding. INSTALL will
update all of the executable and document files already existing in the hard
drive directory, including certain rig memory files. You can restore any of
your "old" memory (.MEM) files after installing this update, as they are
compatible with the new version.
